A living room should be comfortable, welcoming, and visually appealing. This modern living room interior design in Kurla by Shaikh Consultants combines soft neutral colours, elegant gold details, textured furniture, and warm lighting to create a sophisticated space for everyday living. The living room features a large grey upholstered sofa that creates a comfortable and calming base for the interior.
The soft grey colour works beautifully with the neutral walls and adds a timeless feel to the room.
The cushions provide additional comfort while keeping the overall design simple and refined. One of the main design features is the classic wall moulding behind the sofa. The rectangular moulding adds depth and structure to the wall without making the space feel overly decorative.
A framed piece of Arabic calligraphy is placed at the centre, creating a distinctive focal point and adding a personal touch to the room. The centre of the seating area features a round marble-top coffee table with a gold-toned metal base. The combination of marble and gold adds a premium touch while complementing the neutral furniture.
The round shape also creates a softer contrast against the straight lines of the wall moulding and sofa. Two textured yellow-gold ottomans add colour and character to the living room. Their woven texture brings another layer of detail to the space, while their gold-yellow shade creates a beautiful contrast with the grey sofa.
The gold tones are repeated in the coffee table and other small decorative elements, helping the room maintain a cohesive look.Lighting plays an important role in this living room. The ceiling features warm cove lighting along with recessed lights, creating a soft and comfortable atmosphere.
The warm lighting highlights the wall details, curtains, furniture, and decorative elements while making the room feel inviting during the evening.Full-height patterned curtains add softness and texture to the room. Their neutral tones complement the sofa and walls without taking attention away from the main design elements.
A large black, grey, and white patterned rug anchors the seating arrangement and adds visual depth to the floor. The overall design brings together grey, cream, gold, and yellow tones in a balanced way. Marble, fabric, metal, textured upholstery, and wall moulding create a layered interior without making the room feel crowded.
Every element has been carefully selected to combine comfort, functionality, and visual appeal. This Kurla living room is an example of how thoughtful interior planning can create a sophisticated and comfortable home environment.
